If we get a connection flight will they give my finace problems boarding to the US?

I dont know if a straight flight is better?

Connections are fine. Where she boards from doesn't really matter so long as she has valid paperwork (passport + visa) to do so. Edit: And the sealed envelope in the carry on so she can present at POE.

It won't be a problem. My husband flew through Amsterdam to get to the US. Many people have to make connections along the way. Just make sure your fiancé carries the necessary paperwork in their carry on bag.

Connections are fine. I actually had a connection in Toronto, and while I was at POE, I actually *missed* my flight from Toronto to Atlanta despite being beyond the POE. I couldn't go back since the visa was a one-time use, so I just simply booked a second flight (and wasted $150).

Connection flights are fine, but if you can find a straight flight, go for it.  It may be more expensive.

You can have a connection but make sure you buy the ticket as a combo. If you buy it as a combo, if you get delayed at the POE (because they will go through your paperwork) and miss your connection, they will put you in another flight. 

 

If you buy separate tickets and miss the connection, they can charge you for booking you in another flight or they might even make you get a new ticket. It is basically up to the person at the airline counter. I've missed flights and usually try to make a sad puppy face and have gotten lucky, but I'm sure I was just lucky and won't be able to get away with it much longer
