CRBA out of wedlock US Citizen Mother

Hello. I am a Us citizen mother. I recently had two children abroad  in the Philippines. I want to apply for their Crba and Passports. 

The children are out of wedlock though they carry my boyfriends name and he signed their birth certificates. My question is if he needs to be present for the interview and sign for passports. He does not have any valid id or passport both expired. Can we still use these? Or can i go alone? 

Please advise.

you should be able to get the crba on your own since he is irrelevant in proving they are your children and can be granted citizenship based on that relationship. since they are minors you may need both parents to sign for that. can someone else chime in on it?

You DEFINITELY need to have his signature on the documents... and proof of his identity as well ..

me (USC) and my fiancée just finished out CRBA/passport process in Manila

and we needed all documents from both of us...Although both of us didnt have to be there , it definitely helped that we were...I flew over just for this...

Ok how about if the father doesn't want to help with the process. I'm currently in the Philippines and ive researched and found plenty of people where they ask for Proof of custody from the court. However ive read its almost impossible to acquire because in Philippine law the mother already has sole custody of illegitimate children. So what did others do if anything that worked? Would DSWD help?

No she does not need this at all because she is the sole custodian according to Philippine law. Your situation is different from hers so don't try to correlate each one.

That means you are the sole custodian of those children because you have custody of them and according to Philippine law you have custody. You are making this more difficult than it should be.
