Traveling abroad while AOS is pending

Hello,

 

Can my wife who has applied for AOS and AP travel to her native country and once we receive her AP card I can mail it to her so she can come back?

Leaving the country without the AP and during the AOS process will mean that she abandoned the process and her aos will be denied. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 

 

And even so, what if she leaves and ap get lost on mail? What if it takes longer to approve? I would not risk that.

U are correct in every sense.

Don't leave the country without Advance Parole. There's a reason you have to stick around to get it. The whole process will be wasted if she leaves, and you'll have to start again with her living in her own country and going via a CR-1. A little more wait for the card in hand is nothing, trust me.
