Tourist Visa For Girlfirend

Hi. My girlfriend is trying to get a tourist visa to come visit me in the US. I know her chances of getting the visa is slim but just wanted to understand some requirements. Does an applicant need to provide the residence status, proof of address, etc of a friend/boyfriend she intends to visit or this requirement is just for family visitor? 

Simply put, does my girlfriend need any documents from me to apply for the tourist visa?

Are you sponsoring your girlfriend if so then you need to provide financial statements, you need to write and invitation letter inviting her to the USA.

This is absolutely not true. You cannot sponsor a tourist visa. Each applicant can only be judged on their own ties to their home country.

 

You can write a letter, but most likely they will not even look at it and it will have no effect whatsoever on whether a tourist visa is issued.

No one can sponsor anyone for a tourist visa.

 

There is no need for him to provide his financial statements.  The visa application is about her, not him.  His money is not a strong tie to her country.

 

The US Embassy does not consider invitation letters in making its decisions, so there is no need for one.

If HE is sponsoring her then yes he needs to send in financial records, according to Ghana visa you must have a invitation letter along with your application. Trust me, I know people who had to provide these items when applying for a visitor visa in GHANA, but that's only IF he is sponsoring her

It may not be required but they do ask for these items maybe because its Ghana, idk

I am not the one one sponsoring her. Also the USCIS website states that an invitation letter is not required
