Hey guys, 

We finally have all the paperwork together and now all that's missing is a correctly filled out money order.

I have no experience in that so could anyone help and tell me where I write what? I know it has to say it's payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

 

I tried to find examples online but couldn't find anything. What do I put in the field 'payment for/account#'?

I just sent off my money orders, they were the exact same as above and i filled it out as such
U.S Department of Homeland Security, nothing in the "payment for/acct #" my address including state and zip code and then signature.
And i just recieved my noa1 with no issues

Per https://www.uscis.gov/forms/paying-uscis-fees

"Write a brief description of the purpose of your payment and include the applicant’s name in the memo line."

 

We didn't send in money order, but on our check, we input "I-130" and added applicant/petitioner's Alien Registration Number.

20-Sep-2016 ✳ USCIS shows "Case Was Received"

22-Mar-2017 ✳ USCIS shows "Case Approved"

30-Mar-2017 ✳ NOA2, hardcopy received [193 days from NOA1 to NOA 2]

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
