every day my estimate on my timeline moves a day... i have been pushed back over a week one day at a time.  Does anyone know why? are they closed or something?

There's been little progress this past week. The estimates on VJ are just that...estimates. They will always shift as more and more recent data comes in from VJ members.

My original NOA2 was estimated for mid-January. I got my NOA2 on 3/24, and the VJ estimate shifted back and back because USCIS simply wasn't making as much progress on them + a swarm of petitions coming in around election day and from the fee hike in Dec.

90-120 days is pretty average right now, so hopefully you won't wait too much longer.

Hi, my NOA1 was 104 days ago. Things have been improving. We think there is a problem with the computer system because several people in the January and February filers forum have been receiving their NOA2 in the mail and the app/USCIS site still shows a received status.  Just keep looking in the mail. Here is the link to the February group just in case you are interested in following.

01/27/2017:     I-129F Mailed

02/01/2017:     NOA1 (Receipt Date: Feb 01; Notice Date: Feb 03)

05/17/2017:     NOA2 (Received May 22, USCIS still shows as received)

05/23/2017:     Case mailed from California to NVC

06/02/2017:     Case Number Received (I called) from NVC

06/09/2017:     Case Status: Ready in Guayaquil, Ecuador

I see you're estimating your NOA2 on VJ estimated times..I was suppose to get NOA2 on February and I didn't get it until April. My advice? keep yourself busy, calm and don't really check the estimated times as they are not as accurate as we all would like them to be. The journey becomes longer if you concentrate too much on getting the NOA2.

K1 Visa Process

Nov. 2016 - Applied for K1 Visa
Nov. 2016 - NOA1

April 2017 - NOA2 (6 months!)

April 2017 - Arrived to NVC

April 2017 - Got the # from NVC

May 2017 - Case left NVC

May 2017 - Arrived to Embassy

May 2017 - Got Package 3

May 2017- Got Package 4

May 2017 - Interview [APPROVED!]

June 2017 - Visa arrived home

June 2017 - Made it to the US. Finally with my future hubby!!

July 2017 - Married!

AOS Process

August 2017 - Started AOS

August 2017 - NOA1

Sept. 2017 - Biometrics

19th Dec. 2018 - Interview date  [16 months]

Dec. 2018 - GC processing

29th Dec. 2018 - GC arrived home! [10 days!]
Remove Conditions - Soon...

This makes me so nervous. I never received the NOA1 in the mail from February, and I already know I won't get any mail notifications of RFE's and NOA2, so its the USCIS website that I have to follow to proceed. UUUGH!!!! I changed my address to a US address 2 weeks ago, but I don't have, and won't get any notification that it was done. This is disheartening.

VJ estimates are normally quite accurate. However since they are based on current input data from members,  if there is a relatively quick increase in processing time from the time you applied then it will be less accurate simply cause it doesn't have that data input yet. It normally doesn't change that much with time to make it totally off...such events as noted by previous poster will do it though... and your estimate will be much more accurate the closer in time you get if the time is not still increasing.

I expect it to start going the other way during the end of summer/fall of 2017...with approvals quicker than estimates as the workload goes back to a more normal level.

Just also adding that VJ estimates are much better than the rarely updated ones on the USCIS website... when I was doing the K1 last year.. it was accurate within 2 weeks even with the great increase in processing that was seen for March filers.

It feels like an eternity going through it...but looking back, it all went by pretty fast and now I'm here and already had my green card 9 months after i129f approval and 4 months after AOS received at lockbox.

You'll be there soon OP! Good luck going forward :)

We waited for our NOA2  for almost 6 months ... Then my fiancé received a request REF... Since they received another one copy of my groom's birth certificate a month passed. Whole month! When we  called and asked what  happening, they replied that they could review the documents within 60 days. So ..... We are afraid to think what will happen next. Very sad...
