Case was received by the consulate in Juarez on 4/3/16.  Does anyone have any information on how and when we will receive the invitation letter?  I already scheduled my appointment for May 24, 2016 because on the website, it said "ready" and that my next step is to have my interview, but I need to have the invitation letter.  Before anyone lectures me about "I should have waited for the letter", please don't do this to me right now.  I am well aware of the mistake I made and the amount of money this will cost my fiance if the letter doesn't come before then.  I just need advice on what I can expect, who I can ca ll to find real answers(calling the consulate is strange because they always seem more confused than I am and give me different answers all the time.) & what I can do to ensure we have this letter before my appointment.

Thank you in advance!

Did you receive/send Packet 3 already? Packet 4 is typically received via e-mail if I remember correctly.

No.  We did the ds-160 and that's where we are at.  It was received by the consulate on April 5, 2016.  Do you think I am worried about it a little to early?

Does Mexico have an equivalent document like this? http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-MTL.pdf

In that case, follow the Packet 3 instructions you got from the US Consulate in Mexico that you found (make sure it's not the Canadian one! It seems to be the only copy I can find by Google) and follow the instructions. If it's anything like the Montreal consulate, you'll have to e-mail that information into them. After that, you'll receive an update a few days later which should be Packet 4 instructions, which will then tell you to get your medical done, and then schedule yourself an interview. Basically you shouldn't schedule the interview until you have at least Packet 4 received.

Interesting, a totally different setup from Canada for the same visa.

You're probably okay then as it's asking you bring everything to the interview instead of sending it by mail/e-mail, and for you to schedule an interview as well as biographics (which is also different to my experience).

Make sure you're all scheduled up, schedule your medical exam, and follow the instructions on what you need to bring to your interview. Good luck!

Yes!  I have noticed it our requirements in Mexico will be different than most others.  That is why I am worried.  We are all set, and the website said we were ready to schedule our appointments and I have done that but still do not have the letter.  This is frustrating but I do appreciate that you took the time to read the packet and help me out.  Thank you so much!

Well you don't have to worry about the letter since you already got the NOA2, and you already know your NVC case number, so as long as you can fulfill everything on that packet you linked, you should be set! The letter double-confirms that you're ready to definitely schedule BOTH biographics as well as the interview. Chances are the letter they're sending you is exactly that PDF.

You do have a copy of your NOA2 along with a photocopy of your entire I-129F package, right?

Lastly, this will also be a good forum for you to browse, so you can also converse with fellow Mexicans like yourself about the process:

No need to panic - my husband and I never received it, either :)

You can print it at the consulate information window before your interview. This is what we did (we just arrived one day before). Received it without a problem.

Good luck!

In Mexico, you DO have to worry about the letter. You can not attend any of your appointments without it. But, again, it can be printed at the consulate's information window! Some people's letters NEVER arrive (which is what happened with our case).

Afortunada, Do you think this is the same for the K1 Visa?  It seems there is nobody to call and check this out with.  Every telephone never has answers.  They just say I don't know or "no".
