Hi everyone, my son got his green card 2 months before me, does that mean we have to file separately? I know uscis website says to fill jointly if we received it same day or 90 days thereafter, but nothing about if he received it before me. Thanks for all your help

That's bizarre - didn't he get his green card as part of the same process (CR1 plus dependent child) as you did? I'd try to get an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office to ask them about this before you send your application(s). 

Maybe someone else on the forums has the same experience, but if you don't get an answer quickly, trying to get in to talk to an officer in person would be my first priority.

Well if it's two months before you it means you'll file at the tail end of his eligibility period together with yours (yours would be only couple of weeks into eligibility period).
