Hello Everyone,

I just got off the phone with NVC to confirm if they received the documents we sent to them 3 weeks ago. They confirmed that they received it on the 16th of March and I was told it will take 11 weeks to fully review  the application.

My Question now is:

Do we have to wait for the 11 weeks before calling again to confirm the status of the application?

At what stage can we request to speak to a supervisor?

I am asking these questions because of the the similar posts I came across here. Some people said after 11 weeks of waiting, their application still wasnt ready. So, they requested to speak to a supervisor and they were told to wait for another 42 days for Supervisor's review.    I am just trying to prevent this from happening.

I really look forward to hearing from you guys, thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot

Hi, Can you confirm that they scanned the documents into their system versus receiving them in their mail room?  Asking this because I read on another thread that her documents had a scan date 8 weeks after arriving in the mail.

Ideally looking for the following:

The day you mailed your documents:

The day they arrived at the NVC:

The day they were scanned and uploaded into the NVC system:

It appears from reviewing different threads that, if the documents are scanned and uploaded into their network, customer service will be able to see your documents on their screens....

Unfortunately, from everything I've read and talking to my lawyer there's no real way to prevent this. You can keep calling every week throughout the 11 weeks, but the only answer you'll hear is wait 11 weeks before doing anything. You can't initiate a supervisor review until the 10-11 week mark and then yes it takes another 4-6 weeks to hear back. Our strategy (worked out with my lawyer will be the following) --

  1. Call once a week to try and get status updates (even though it's likely futile).
  2. As we approach 11 weeks, have a request to my senator ready to fire off.
  3. If we hit 11 weeks, we'll contact our senator right away in the hopes that if they inquire it'll cut the time it spends in a supervisor review.

Not much else you can do besides this!

Only way to find out is to call them.

(603) 334-0700, option 1 for english, option 3 to confirm receipt of documents.  Best time to call is 8-9 AM EST for minimal wait times.
