Hi to all filers of IR-1 / CR-1 with scan date of February 2017. Please join this thread to help/update all the people who has february 2017 NVC scan date. 

 

Please update your timeline as well as your signature with all NVC steps for better understanding of NVC stage.

NVC Scan Date: 02/21/2017

Case Complete: N/A (pending)

Country: Pakistan, Islamabad (Embassy)

 

Have been calling at least 1 to 3 times a week for an update. The review time at NVC went from 4 weeks to 11 weeks.

 

Check this thread out, its an online spreadsheet updated by grad_student. I look at the spreadsheet just to get an idea of when people are getting their Case Complete's (CC). Post your scan date there too so we can get some stats.

Hey guys, What does scan date mean exactly?
 

The day the courier marks the documents package as 'delivered' to NVC?

Our AoS documents package was delivered last week and we also got a small card back from the courier saying it was delivered to NVC. The IV documetns package we sent will hopefully be delivered this week. already in transit to NVC.

01/2016: Petition filed for my visa
02/2016: USCIS confirmed receiving our file/petition on 1st Feb.
04/2016: I-130 Approval email received from DHS towards early May, our case was approved end of April. 
03/2017: Paid AoS and IV Bill
03/2017: Sent AoS and IV Packages via mail.
04/2017: 5th day of April, NVC received package. Can take up to 11 weeks for CC according to nvc.

06/2017: 6th day of June, Case Completed - confirmed via phone

07/2017: Interviewed end of July 2017.

>> Passport with Visa received the next day of interview 

8/2017: POE via JFK


05/2020: N400 Filed

06/2021: Biometrics taken

02/2022: Interview Scheduled (Yes, after 22 months -.- )

31 May 2016 - legally married in Estonia, just the 2 of us
27 July 2016 - wedding ceremony & reception

 

USCIS Phase

08 September 2016 - I-130 sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox (FILED FROM ABROAD)

14 September - I-130 received at Nebraska Service Center

16 September - NOA1 via e-mail

29 September - notice returned to USCIS because the Post Office could not deliver it

22 November - NOA1 finally received in the mail (in the US)

31 March 2017 - NOA 2 via e-mail, app and USCIS website

3 April - NOA 2 received in the mail (in the US)

11 April - Case Was Sent to Department of State 

 

NVC Phase

17 April - Case received by NVC

20 April - NVC case number assigned

21 April -  DS-261 Completed Online
25 April - Welcome e-mail received, AOS fee paid
27 April - IV fee Invoiced, IV fee paid
6 May - DS-260 Completed
10 May - AOS and IV package sent

15 May - Scan date

12 July - Case complete 😀
14 July - P4 Interview Letter

08 August - Medical

17 August - INTERVIEW - approved!
18 August - VISA ISSUED
23 August - Picked up the PASSPORT with the VISA inside

26 August - Immigrant Fee paid
18 September, 2017 - POE 

Removal Of Conditions

25 June, 2019 - ROC packet sent

My wife mailed in the AOS package separately while we were waiting for the IV bill to clear and then send the IV package. I did suggest the one-package clause but she said that's how another case documents were sent as well (separately) so.... I'm guessing it'll add a few more weeks to our review .. grrr.

Scan Date depends on 2 parameters

      1. When all the documents are received by NVC [This doesn't mean simply reaching NVC, the documents have to be marked received for your case. You can find when they "received" your documents by calling them]

      2. When you complete and submit DS-260 online

 

You have to satisfy both the requirements mentioned above. Your scan date will be the later of the two dates. [e.g. If NVC received your documents on 04/01/2017, but you submit your DS-260 on 05/10/2017; then your scan date will be later of two] Simply put, your (current) 11 week wait will start from the date you have completed both the steps successfully.

My father case was completed on 02/15, however still waiting on my mom case to be completed. resend I-864A with original sig and NVC received it on 02/27..
