My fiancé and I are about to file I-129F forms and supporting evidence.  We printed our pictures on 8x10 computer paper and labelled every pick with date, place and who is in the picture but we only have black and white printers.  Do the pictures have to be printed in colour?

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

While color I'm sure would be better, the pictures are technically only secondary evidence when it comes to USCIS.

Perhaps get the photos on a thumb drive and goto a local photo store/shipping store/FedEx/Walgreens/ Walmart and use their photo center to print off actual color copies? Then just use their printer/scanner and do a scan f the photos onto another sheet in color?

I ordered my photos at Walgreens as glossy photo prints, and they cost $0.29 for each 4x6" photo.

I'm not sure if black & white copies are completely unacceptable, but I'd say it's worth getting color copies or prints for this!

You could print them out at Walmart but that really adds up. The cheapest option would be for you to get photo paper for my like Walmart or cvs etc. Make sure it's the paper that is able to be used with regular printers.

How about just regular printer paper and printing the pictures in colour on that?

I don't have a definitive answer but with that said I don't think this is the time to go cheap. Best evidence available in all aspects.

I'm sure I replied to this question previously, as you posted this question about photos a few days ago.

Possibly, some VJ members will say they sent black/white printer photos on regular print paper "should" be fine.  The key would here is "should".

Going to Walgreens or London Drugs and have their photo lab print out 5-6 digital photos off a thumb drive for under $2 total is worth the time and $2 spent.

Think about it like this, our Canadian K1 Visa petition took 77 days until we had an approval.

We had no RFE's, no delays, and my fiance and I slept like babies knowing we sent everything according to the VJ instructions and VJ member's suggestions.  And yes, we had London Drugs photo-print the 4 pictures of my fiance and I together we used as evidence.

That would be a long 77 days wondering if the black/white photos you might send will or will not be accepted.

Walgreens is very cheap for non-passport pictures. I dont remember how many I printed, about 2 dozen (twice), it cost me few $ only.

And if you wait they are always running specials and sales.

This! I always search for online coupon codes before I make purchases on websites, to see if there's any current ones for the store I'm buying from. The cost for me at Walgreens was $0.29 for each 4x6" photo, and then I found a working coupon code that gave me 35% off a photo print order! My photos were ready for pickup at the store within a few hours.
