returned I-751

I am a green card holder currently in the process of having conditions removed. My two year green card Will expire in May and I have filled an i-751. The i-751 has been returned to me twice with the #9 catigory check marked which states: "you must include a copy of your i-551 indicating your A-nunber and your conditional resident status. File number:_______"

I do not understand this as I have included a copy of my i-551 with the i-751 which I submitted. Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated.

Did you also include a copy (front and back) of your Green Card?

Maybe you need to make an enlarged copy of your green card (both sides). Some people even make notes on the sheet pointing to the actual A# and the printing which shows that you are a conditional resident.

Is your timeline updated?

Just in case there is confusion....The I-551 stamp in your passport is used until you get your physical green card.  Then your physical green card is considered your I-551.  If you have a current or expired physical green card, you need to send a copy of this.  If they took your green card away from you (if you extended your original "extension"), then hopefully, you kept a copy of it.

What did you submit?  Your Green Card copy, or a copy of the stamp in your passport?

The I-555 is the Green card (same thing.  It is in plainly and unequivocally in all the instructions to provide a copy of the front and back of your GC.  Have you done that. How have you prepared your packet that they cannot find it?

Thank you everyone for replying.

I did include a copy (front & back) of my current i-551 (green card). As far as organization is concerned that copy was the first item in my file of documents immediately following the i-751.

The first time I submitted the i-751 I had not filled out the A-nunber section on the i-751. I over looked this secontion (next to SS number). When the i-751 was returned to me the first time I was under the assumption that my lack of filling in this section was what caused them to return the form. I did send the i-751 back the A-nunber filled in. But have now received the i-751 back again for the same reason (as stated above section #9). All I could think of this time was that perhaps the resolution of the copy of the i-551 was not of high enough quality for acceptance by the uscis.

I am planing to send back the i-751 with a higher resolution color copy of my i-551. I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything regarding this section of the i-751.

Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate your time in replying.
