Hello!

This is my first post in the forum, although I have been reading for a long time. Well this is my problem and I hope someone can give me some information because my husband and I are starting to be really worried.

Here is a quick background: I moved to Boston Jan 2016 with K-1 from Spain, married Feb 2016, Apply for AD, EAD and AOS all together in March, Biometrics done in May 2016, EAD and AD card received in July 2016.

Problem: when I check my AOS status still says "my Fingerprints Free Was Received - On April 8, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number xxxxxxx. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Today, March 1, 2017 I am still in the same situation, no notifications so far (except the letter in July along with the EAD and AD saying they will be processing my case)...but nothing else. I checked the processing time in the Boston office and it says May 22. In January 18 I submitted a case inquiry and did not receive any notification at all! on Monday I have an appointment at USCIS office in Boston to see what is going on because it's gonna be almost a year at the en of this month! also my EAD will expired at the end of June...

I don't know what to do, what to think...I don't know what happened to my case :(

Thank you!

Yes, I will probably have to renew it, also because I am working, but I was trying to avoid that in case my AOS was ready... I guess no.

I just don't understand how quick was everything but the AOS is taking forever

Yes. Though one service request stated security checks, senator's inquiry result was background checks.

When you date has passed the one on their webpage then you can put in a service request so you did the right thing.

Well, funny story when I submitted the request, I received an email saying "USCIS will review and process the request. Expect a reply by February 9, 2017" obviously no response so far. I also called USCIS and they told me to wait 30 days after I submitted the service request...and nothing. Hopefully on Monday they'll tell me a little bit more!

ps: @Georgia16 Hvor i Danmark er du fra? Jeg har boet i København 2 år! jeg savner Danmark så meget!

I hope they can give you some answers on Monday! Our medical expires here on the 31st so I'm preparing for new once (I won't do anything til I hear from them of course) but I'm not expecting to hear anything before that date.

Oh me too! I really miss home SO much! We are from Odense, Fyn. :)

Sorry if I am asking a repeated question, but is renewing EAD/AP free just like the first time when applying together with AOS?
