Yes it is official. I researched it and found it also posted on Travel.State.gov website. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/news/executive-order-on-protecting-the-nation-from-terrorist-attacks-by-foreign-nationals.html

Yes, it looks official. It doesn't matter if you're Christian - if you hold citizenship of one of these countries, you will not be interviewed.

Unfortunately it's only Muslims in those 7 countries. According to CNN, Christians from those countries will be allowed in.

I think you are lucky that you were born in a country different than those 7 countries not because you are Christian. So say for example you are a Muslim but born in Germany you will still be let in because there is no ban against Germany.

just read the news...

Final summary

Donald Trump’s executive order to close America’s borders to refugees and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries has been swiftly enforced. The order blocks to the US from citizens from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya for 90 days and as well as indefinitely suspending admission of Syrian refugees.

I've met Muslims who are not from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia and Sudan. I've also met both Christians and Jews who are from those countries. Well. Maybe not Somalia. One time, I even met a Muslim from Morocco.

Stop perpetuating this stereotypical myth that Muslims are from A, and Christians are from B.

Don't believe everything you hear on the news........This is not a Muslim ban.....The VAST majority of Muslims can enter the US.
