Hey all! Okay, so I mailed out my I-130 on 1-6-17. I realize its only been a week and some days but I'm starting worry that I haven't received an noa1 yet. The reason why I'm worrying is because when I look at other peoples timelines on here its usually only a couple of days! I guess my question is how long did it take you all to receive your noa1? Thanks guys!

It can vary from a couple days to a couple weeks. It was actually taking some people about 3 weeks during the holidays last month. I wouldn't worry about it for a couple more weeks. You can also check top see if your check was cashed (if you paid by check) as an indication if they received it. I got my NOA1 text about a business day or two after that.

Edit: This was for m y K-1, not CR-1/IR-1. But I think they are roughly the same times to NOA1 according to the VJ estimates (http://www.visajourney.com/content/ir1cr1historical).

  1. Did you have tracking on your package?
  2. Did you include the G1145?

It usually takes 20 to 30 days to get the hardcopy I-797 in the mail that will have your case# and such.

I sent my I-130 on December 30, 2016 and it arrived at Chicago's Lockbox on January 2.  I still have received my NOA1. :(  I paid the fee by Money Order so I can't check to see if they've cashed it yet.  The waiting is soo hard!

Thanks everyone for the responses!! They did receive my package based on the tracking. I paid by money order so there is no way to check that. Hopefully I will get an noa soon. I did fill out the g-1145. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting and trying to be patient. Good luck to you guys as well!! We will stay patient together!!

I sent my I-130 Dec 30, 2016. It was delivered Jan 2, 2016. They have not cashed my check yet. So they must be going slowly due to the holidays. I got on because I too am starting to freak out. But what geowrian said has put my mind at ease a bit. Hopefully we all hear back shortly. I will try to update here when they cash my check so that those of you who sent money orders have an estimate of when they may be getting to the applications sent out around the same time as them.

I sent my I-130 by express mail on January 3, 2017.  Tracking indicated it was received January 4, 2017.  Still no NOA-1 or indication check was cashed.
