Hello to all

This is my first time posting, but I have been following VJ since November. LadyJ's post about receiving the interview date for January prompted me to call NVC this evening, because my husbands cc date was November 10. I encountered a not so nice lady on the phone who tried to get me off the phone quickly by telling me that embassy's schedule at there own time frame, and if they have a slot available that's when they fill in appointments. I asked her if Kingston started to schedule interviews , she repeated the same statement above to me. So, I " fenced " her in by telling her I saw on VJ where cc in November were being scheduled for January. She said , "ma'am VJ is a blog and has nothing to do with NVC". I told her I understand but that's what happening. She then told me to hold on, came back on the phone and ask me if I have a pen to write .... she then gave me my husbands interview date for January 31st and told me it was. Just schedule . I am now watching my email for that letter. Thank you all for writing your individual experiences it has been helping me a lot and especially to ladyJ who prompted my curiosity to call. I immediately went and completed my timeline because I realize how useful and helpful it can be to others.

A speedy and positive outcome to all. Blessings.

Congrats on getting your interview date and on standing up to NVC! Great for filling out the timeline; it really is very helpful for those to come. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

Does anyone know if they allow the spouse in the building for the interview ??

Yes they do. My friend's daughter had her interview in September he dad petitioned for her.  The child is a minor hence why my friend her mom attendes. While waiting they observed 2 interviewees who had their spouses present. My friend reported saying they were not questioned like the other persons just asked 1 or 2 questions and was told their visas were approved. The others were grilled.

Yes spouses are allowed in JA embassy, although it’s not a requirement that they be there.
