Interview date will be past deadline

We finally got out interview date in January, but our deadline is December?

What should we do? My fiancé called and asked someone at the embassy, but they said they can't give him any information regarding that. The only person who could was the immigration officer, who is not someone we can talk to!

What do we do?!

The interview is after the expiration date of the NOA2 for the I-129F petition?

If so, hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong on this, the embassy will automatically extend the exiration date of the NOA2 because you made an interview date.

Only reason the NOA2 actually does expire is because you did not take any sort of action on it with the embassy.

You have nothing to worry about with the expiration date.

Good luck! (and hopefully again someone will correct me if I am wrong)

I believe you're correct. When my (now) spouse and I were in the same situation, we sent an email to the Rio consulate specifically requesting an extension and they replied with an additional four months of validity. It felt better to have something written although, as you said, there was probably no need.

Thank you so much!

We had some issues with paying for it since they only accept payments from one bank, which is one that my fiancé DIDNT have. It took a couple of weeks to sort it out since it's very difficult to get things like that done in Venezuela.

We're also on the same boat, but our boat is in Indonesia. Our petition stated it's expired 18 Nov but there's no available interview date at the embassy until the 29 Nov. So I think we're good.

Good luck.

Best,

J/G
