Tourist visa for a friend

Hi hello, I'm an American citizen who invited my friend from morroco to come and visit me for a month. I'm about to send him my invitation letter, does he apply for the visa online over there? And also, does he schedule his interview on the application or do they? At the consulate? Will it say on the application that they will do the calling? I'm wondering how this goes? Please and thank you

There's an online application as well as face-to-face interview. He schedules the interview time and date online after completing the application.

A visitors visa to American especially from Morocco is very hard to obtain, Unless your friend has very strong ties to Morocco for reason to return, job, home owner, family, maybe a business owner, those are ties to Morocco. Good luck.

He applies like anybody else does, all on the Consulate web site. Your participation would most likely be seen as a negative.

Friend applies.. submits online ds160, pays the fee, schedules biometrics, finally attends an interview.

It will be better if he doesn't show your invitation letter at the Interview.Let him show his strong ties and handle himself.Your involvement might jeopardize,I think.

There is no such thing as an "invitation letter' Every single day on this site I see people posting this same exact thread and I have no idea where they get this idea, this and thinking there is somehow sponsorship for a visitor visa.

The bottom line: Your friend must apply and be approved in his own merits and his own merits ALONE. He must prove he has very, very strong ties to home and he must prove he can finance the trip 100% on his own. Period. End of story. Sending some sort of letter will only work against him.

There s too many ways to get a visa to the United States .. your friend needs a tourist visa and he needs To show them his evidence of ...... strong ties to Morocco to get that visa to visit you invitation letter is nothing but a piece of paper that means nothing .. and there is always hope.. there is a video in YouTube in darija language showing how your friend can get a visa in Casablanca
