Change of house number

Dear vjners,The 911 Coordinator changed some number of houses at the county where I live of which mine is included,for example,number 9 Jones drive but now is number 20 Jones drive. they said is to improve and enhance delivery of emergency services,they mail us a letter that states, the changes will not interrupt USPS mail service,you will not have to complete a change of address form for the USPS as they already been notified and the city and zip code of ur mailing/physical address will not change. However,the address number has changed. My question is this,do i need to inform USCIS but this changes? my status is IR1

I would, just to be on the safe side.

You might also put your name on the inside of the mailbox.

If your mailbox is part of a bank of mailboxes for many residences, for example on a stalk at the end of the street, open your side of the mailbox, reach as far as you can inside, and firmly tape a note with your name on it on the bottom of the box, facing away from you so that the postal carrier can read it "right-side-up."

If you have your own mailbox on a pole by the curb in front of your house, put your name on the inside or outside.

If you have your own mailbox nailed to the front of your house, put your name on the outside.

I'd go to your Post Office -- and also try to speak in person with your carrier -- to explain the crucial nature of delivering any government mail to you.

I agree that filing an address-change form with USCIS is advisable. Include a brief explanation, as in your first post above.
