Denied due to domicile despite job offer, daycare enrollment

Hello everyone. I have been really lost and needing some guidance. I acurrently live in abu dhabi with my husband and daughter. I am a US citizen, I have been living in Abu dhabi for two years and have traveled 6 months out of those 2 years to the states. I have kept my part time job in the states and paid taxes upon each of my returns. I have a tx liability insurance card. Renewed DL. bank accounts etc. Well my husband was temporarily denied just as a few of you on this thread for issue of domicle. I have read almost all of the thread but not finding anything that relates to my situation. I am a stay at home mom, i have nothing in my name here, its all under my husbands name. The rent, car, insurance. The only thing i have is a credit card under my name. I have not put anything in my name because i new i will be here temporarily until my husband is issued his green card so i didnt feel like i needed anything put in my name. As far as showing steps i am moving from Abu Dhabi, i wont be able to since nothing is in my name.

Anyways they sent a denial letter i sent in documents. An application filled out to enroll mt daughter at a daycare, job offer letter, an affidavit of my mother saying we are allowed to stay with my parents upon our arrival, emails between myself and a lender regarding steps to take for a home loan. I included all the other things mentioned above like car insurance, Renewed driver's license, bank statements etc.

Still denied.

My plan is now to enroll my daughter in the daycare and pay the fee of enrollment and show them the receipt, cancel my credit card in Abu dhabi. Book a one way ticket. Show more emails between me and daycares looking for options to enroll my daughter. What else can i possibly send other than this? My car is under my husbands name. The apartment is under his name. I am so lost.

I am worried that i will have to go back home now. I dont want to do that because i will have to be without my husband until April and i will miss him dearly and so will our daughter. I am looking to avoid this step. But if this is the only way they will believe me then i will have to do it.

Please if anyone can help i would truly appreciate it

The denied you based on what? You said this was for domicile? If you maintained a job from the US, renewed your DL, and have registered your child in a preschool in the US, how is this not domiciled or at least proof on intent to re-establish domicile.

I'm a stay at home mom and returned back to the US to visit family and to re-establish my domicile. I reopened by bank account, got a GA DL as I was living in FL before I lived in Egypt, registered my daughter into the GA public school system. So this makes me wonder on what proofs they will accept. :/

Sorry to hear this....are you sure it's a domicile issue? It's very weird, you have more evidence that most people who get approved for domicile.

Maybe you can scan the denial letter you got or copy it word for word here so we can understand exactly what the problem is? Have you tried contacting anyone directly at the Embassy in this case? It just doesn't add up, you have so much proof already. Really feel for you, hope the problem gets solved soon.

I hope so too. Yes based off domicle! I think they are becoming really strict about things like this... i miss home so much if they really only knew how much i miss home and desperate to go home! But anyways i am trying to also avoid leaving my hubby for 4 or 5 months so i will work hard and continue to show them i am serious about moving back permanently! Based of domicle! I am thinking what more can i give to them??? I was thinking maybe they want solid proof that i will enroll my daughter in a daycare for example a receipt of the daycare. I will see what i can do. They are becoming soo strict on stuff like this.

Gosh i really dont want to do that. Im scared because firstly it makes me nervous to go back not knowing when my husband will get his visa. Secondly, its not easy to be far from him for 4 or 5 months and our daughter not to see him that long too. I am so hopeful there is another way... if you have any advice, it would be appreciated. I don't know if this would be of any help, but this is mine and we were approved, obviously your situation is slightly different (i.e. you aren't inheriting a house, but rather living with a parent). Our cases and evidence provided are pretty similar. My thoughts are that they are being strict in your case and who knows the reason. Often times it seems like it is when people are going to be living with parents. The only additional things I could think of beyond what you are already planning are bank accounts for your child, moving/shipping quotes, and a formal lease agreement with your mother. What are you doing about transport? Buy a car? Buy a transit pass? There is another avenue for you there.

Maybe they are aiming to make themselves the new Canada? In the past they accepted similar evidence to what the OP is providing including just the written statement from the parent.

I don't know if this would be of any help, but this is mine and we were approved, obviously your situation is slightly different (i.e. you aren't inheriting a house, but rather living with a parent). Our cases and evidence provided are pretty similar. My thoughts are that they are being strict in your case and who knows the reason. Often times it seems like it is when people are going to be living with parents. Wow this is amazing!!! We even have many similar things. My layout was just like this too.

So i guess i need to include a receipt from the daycare saying that i have paid the enrollment fee.... and how do i write a formal lease? She just wrote a letter. And she is offering that i live their free. Its my permanent address and i have always lived there. Hehe its funny. Its like asking can i please live in my own home? They are really strange lol! I am gonna drive my parents car. Is it possible to buy a car overseas? Or should i send an email inquiring about a car? Thanks again

I am sorry to hear that. I as well live abroad with my husband and our kids. But we got approved on October 3rd.

-We had a joint sponsor that lives in the US

-US bank account

-emails with daycare and school

-letter from our friends that we can stay with them till we get our own place

-Tickets that I visited the State in June

-Filed taxes

-Copy of SSN

They accepted all that. Did not have a valid DL since I have been living in Bosnia for the last 8 years. Good luck.
