Lawyer does not want to attend marriage interview

My immigration lawyer said that it's not important for him to attend our marriage green card interview, and said we will be fine without him being there. Is he pulling a fast one or should I tell him that he absolutely needs to be there? There are no red flags with our case.

10/1/2011 - OPT to H1b

11/5/2015 - Got married to wife (USC)

03/7/2016 - AOS package receipt

04/6/2016 - Biometrics completed

07/6/2016 - EAD card received

9/17/2016 - Notice of interview at USCIS San Francisco office received

10/20/2016 - Date of AOS interview CR1 at USCIS San Francisco office

10/26/2016 - Conditional Green Card Received

What are you adjusting from? Why do you have a lawyer? Most people do AOS without one, so if you really have no red flags - him being there should make no difference.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

I think the fast one he pulled on you was convincing you that you needed his help in the first place. But he is correct. A "no red flags" case does not need the lawyer to attend the interview. His presence is unnecessary.

CR greencard adjusting status I-485 from H1b work visa.

Is the AOS lawyer's fees including him showing up for the interview?

If not, then he will probably charge you if you really require him to show up.

my lawyer promised a moroccan attorney he worked with would attend the CR 1 interview

all the lawyer did was tell me what documents to prepare for him and he mailed out the package

i did all the work

no lawyer was at the interview

complete waste of money

i did the documents

(all samples of affidavits, POA and even the appeal are here on internet)

This is in-country AOS (adjustment of status) so there is no interview at a consulate.
