Tired of looking for civil surgeon NJ or NYC

I'm trying to find a civil surgeon that knows what I need and doesnt try to rip me off. I live in New Jersey, I so far called 13 doctors and most of them want me to do "the whole thing" as they say, which is $150 to $300. I found ONE that will charge $200 for transcribe. Still a lot more than what people say here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/. On that thread I found one in NJ, but he's too far, 2hrs driving. Few in NYC, also very far.

Is there anyone who has done AOS (I-693 )recently in NY or NJ? Could you share your experience please

I did I-693 in NYC in August, and the costs were:

$35 for vaccination list transcript

$220 for the exam itself and the form

$180 for measles vaccine and tetanus shot (there was an option to get those done for free, but I would have to go to Brooklyn around 7:30 AM during a week, and simply didn't feel like it)

$50 for gonorrhea exam (if you have medical insurance, you can send this claim to them, and you should be able to get it covered)

This was the cheapest one I found in Manhattan (every other place was charging $240+ for the exam).

USCIS states, that my form was missing from my AOS package (that's false), so I have to get another sealed envelope, which will cost me another $20.

Medical forms are just the best :dancing:

No, by transcript I meant translation of my original Russian vaccination records by professional translator.

Hi,

I live in Newark NJ everyone was charging $200 plus lab fees. I went to Brooklyn. Hadi Ahmad on 86th street, Google it. It was a total of $150 they did my paper work and tb test plus blood work. I had all my vaccines so I only showed proof. Easy breezy, got it back in two days.

I'm going to update this. I didnt find anyone below $100, so I just went local guy which happened to know exactly what he needed to do. We showed him the DS form and the filled up the i-693. He didn't use our 693 with part one filled up on PC, instead did everything by hand. Paid $175 (full is $300) and got back everything in 10-15 minutes

If you had nothing missing on the DS-3025, then you most likely did not need the I-693 > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/
