Finally got my biometrics appointment letter!

I filed my ROC September 1. Got the receipt letter 2 days later and I was expecting for the biometrics appointment letter to arrive several days after that. It didn't. I thought I would have to do a case follow up - which is only allowed after 30 days of filing. Thankfully the letter arrived today! Just a couple days before my 30 day waiting! I never had to wait this long with the AOS. Oh well. All is good.

If you're impatient now when comparing the wait with AOS and ROC, sit down because ROC from Vermont Service Center is almost a year for permanent GC. California is a little better at 7 months.

Ya Vermont is.. maple syrup in January slow.

California is fast. We were done with ROC in 4 months at CSC, whereas friends of ours at VSC took 10 months.

Thankfully citizenship moves fairly fast as it does not get near Vermont.... ;)

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

I wish we were applying for citizenship now before the election as Hillrot and Obumb has put the naturalization processing in overdrive so they can get the votes. We can't file till December so normal processing if there is a normal.

Ours took 4 months. Friends of ours same thing 4 months. Two other friends of ours are at the biometrics phase, next interview, then oath. I am betting they will be done in about 4 months also.
