Has anyone EVER heard of a woman successfully applying for a tourist visa? It seems impossible. I've heard that it sometimes takes 3 or 4 attempts, but is that even true? Its so frustrating! She has strong ties to country (children in school, a job, owns her own home, etc.) But they continue to say her ties aren't strong. What the...?

B visa for boys.

Is there a W visa?

No, one child is in college and the other lives with his Father. Children aren't coming. She isn't ready to leave Indonesia permanently just yet, but can't seem to leave even for a week or two to come to US. She's traveled all over the world, except US, and always returned. Seems like a good pattern of behavior, and still USCIS won't allow her a visa. She specified Tulsa, Ok and L.A., California.

How are the children a tie?

Your old thread:

With a USC boyfriend, it is probably hard to get a tourist visa.

Just keep applying and roll the dice.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Boiler, mostly because of age. Her son is still just 14. That's one of the things specified as a tie.... family. She isn't ready to leave her son yet, nor should she.

Merrytooth,

I suppose that's the trick. It's like going to a casino, paying your money, rolling the dice, and hoping for the best. Government sanctioned gambling. All about the revenue, it seems.

So you filed a K1?

Nope, not yet. She isn't ready to come here to stay at this point. In the meantime, she would simply like to visit now and then, as I do in Indonesia.

Well, Indonesia ain't the US, so looks like continued flights to Jakarta for now.
