It depends, takes some people 2 weeks and others much longer. I didn't get mine for 80 days and I had to make a lot of phone calls.

My I-130 was approved Sept. 19 (Texas Service Center). Called NVC today and they still haven't received it. Was told it could take up to 6 weeks just to receive it.

it really depends on there case loads but honestly since the summer seems that 2 weeks is a good answer +/- I would call and ask.

I called daily from in the morning. Until the one day they asked whats the beneficiary's DOB and name...process will move fast now go get ready :)

Which one did you call? What type of visa? You are making confusing statements. On one hand it seems like you punched in the receipt number to an automated service and then you state they told you which infers you spoke to someone.

I called the automated system earlier and it allows you to use your receipt number to get some information, which the automate says it was sent to process my husband visa. I30 is what I'm doing. I called the NVC number and spoke with someone and she told me to call back in 2 weeks, to allow them to put my information in their system.

Thanks for clarifying. I did not realize NVC had an automated system where you can enter your receipt number. So it sounds like when you called the automated system (which I assume is only available after NVC working hours), what you received was an acknowledgment that your case file was received but no case number assigned yet.

Yes, I'm still waiting to hear when NVC received my case file. I've been calling during working hours to check but they have not received it yet.
