I would highly appreciate if someone could suggest :

I collected 2-3 pages of fb chat and skype chat/calls (each) for the last 4 months, since the filing date!

Is that enough, or do I need to print some more? How many pages of evidence did you guys take for the interview?

Also, do I need to take the original tickets and receipts for the interview or the scanned copies are enough?

*** Country-specific thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the India regional subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

We included all of our past itineraries, photos of us together with date stamps, etc., thats all we included. We didn't include any Skype calls, calls, etc., I believe they're more interested in seeing that you guys have a bonafide relationship and that you have met in person at least once.

Also, we wouldn't be eligible to file a k1 if we hadn't met atleast once before. We have already proved that by submitting photos and tickets while filing for the petition.

Right now, for the interview they need the evidence for an ONGOING relationship that is AFTER the filing, to verify if we are still in a relationship and that can be proved by calls, chats, letters and stuff. Not saying photos are not the part of it, but I think now at the interview they will look at if we are still in a relationship and we still are interested in getting married!

Oh well thanks for replying anyway! :)

It depends on how strict your embassy is. What you said sounds fine -- I'd include everything you have, but you really don't need a thick packet of paper at the embassy. I don't even think my fiance took our chat logs since we submitted our petition because we were together for 3 months this summer. He took 20 pictures of us (take a variety -- at home, in public, close up, silly, loving, smiling, neutral, etc). He also took a huge ziplock bag of all our receipts (groceries, hotel, apartment rent payments, amusement park, etc). The CO only cared about the pictures, though, and he studied them VERY carefully.

It's important to take new, updated statements of intent to marry.

As I understand - except in really tough embassies - the proof of relationship will be in your face, your voice, your reaction to the CO's questions. They can tell if your relationship is bonafide or not. The USCIS can only go off what you put down on paper. Paper evidence is still important, but the CO is more interested in what you can't easily put down on paper. However, if your embassy is considered really tough or you're from a high fraud country, bring everything and the kitchen sink!

I hope that makes sense!

Curious about the ziplock bag of receipts. Was it organized in any way? Labelled? Translated? Was it even necessary? I'm asking because I've got a bunch of random receipts floating around from my wedding (all in Russian) and I'm wondering if it's even worth bringing these in. If so, shouldn't they be organized somehow otherwise how are the COs supposed to know what they were for? Thanks!

Get your pics ready. They will not have time to go over the chat records.Hope you front loaded your I129 f with sufficient proof of a bonafide relationship. If they need more evidence then they will ask you to submit after the interview and only then they will issue the visa. The outcome of the Interview is pretty much decided before they meet you at the Interview.Best of luck.
