Aos and Ead processing times?

Hello!! We are ready to send the package for adjustment of status, along with i-765 authorization for work. Could you please share your experience about wait time for green card, and authorization permit for work. Also I would like to apply for SSN so I can apply for driver license, how long it takes to receive SSN for K1 visa holders? It's a long journey for us, but worth every single thing <3.

Try posting in the adjustment of status forum to get better answers.

You should be applied for the Ssn as soon as you got to the USA and your i94 was available online. If the time you got in your i94 is still not done and you still have at least 14 days left, you can still apply for the Ssn, but do it asap. They need a valid i94 to do so. Check your i94 and the requirements to get a Ssn on their website.

After filing the aos with the ead, it should be a 90 day wait for the approval for the ead. For the aos itself there's not really a set time, but I'd say around 6 months. Maybe more or less depending on your field office, their workload and backlog. Or maybe you won't even need an interview since it's a k1 adjustment.

Thanks for your reply. I have just came to USA two weeks ago, and I was advised to file an app for ssn after 2 weeks of arrival, so I94 Is stil very valid!

That's great! You can then gather your documents and search the nearest ssa office and got there as soon as you can and apply for it. Remember to do so in your passport name so it will be easier and quicker to receive it.
