Ghana after interview Approval, ready? Administrative processing? or Issued? Still no visa?

there will always be administrative processing after the interview. the biggest difference between this adminstrative processing is the paragragh for the approved ones is much shorter than the denial one. Also it can take a week like ours or a month so no worries if its still in AP.

so we were approved on Tuesday, July 19th. By Monday July 25th CEAC had said Issued. I had my fiance go there the following week on Monday August 1 and they told him it was not there. We did not realize it at the time but there is some confusion when it comes to the pick up location of some peoples k'1s. some might be at the DHL office but in our case, ours was actually ready to be picked up at the Embassy.

my fiance waited another two weeks and went back to the dhl office and thats when they told him to go to Embassy and it might be there since it had already been three weeks since it said issued. he went the following day and it was at the Embassy. He comes in September =-)

If it says issued , and you find it taking too long, you need to go to the embassy at 1pm . at the hour(exactly at 1pm) you need to be in front asking for visa follow-up and then they willl let you in. you find out the status of your visa. like us, im sure others waited, thinking it was at DHL when it was at the embassy.

Keep checking your status and dont have no worries, the hardest part is over.

DHL office?? I have never heard of that. Did anyone from Ghana actually pick their visa packet from DHL? That will be the first time.

Don't know what's going on at the embassy but they are holding up..

Hopefully, your partner gets called in soon. I believe they would call him to come and pick it up when it is ready.

oh sorry maybe i didnt say it right. we already picked up our visa and he will be here in September. our blue sheet that they give you after approval said to got to the DHL office to pick it up but ours was at the embassy. not sure why there are they only tell you DHL when it can be at the embassy too. so if anyone is waiting and thinking it will come to the dhl office after it says issued. they should try the embassy as well

That's the new thing now. Visa Collection is mainly done via DHL .

Also, when you are required to submit documents, they sometimes ask you to deliver it to the same DHL Office for forwarding to the embassy. (That is when further Interview is not required)

after case has been approved and it still says ready?Meanwhile the day for collection is approaching. What should we do?

Just go for collection on the scheduled day. If indeed it isn't ready, contact the consulate. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

I'm in a similar situation that is stressing me out. I went to my interview at the Montreal consulate on September 12th. The CO said I was approved and to expect my passport /visa in 2 weeks. I see my case updated to 'Ready' right after my interview on September 12th but hasn't changed since. Is this normal? What is the real timeline to exxpect my visa? Will it go from ready to AP then to issued? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would wait two weeks after the interview date and just send an email to the embassy concerning the status of the visa. I honestly don't believe in worrying anymore at this stage. the hardest part is over and you heard the magic words "that you are approved". just a little more patience and your visa will be in your hands. my fiance and i were so worried when they were still delaying us after approval. but now he is here and i see him everyday. so nothing is permanent. and there is nothing to worry about. Stay positive.

If you were told to go next week. that is what i would do. It doesnt hurt to get an in person status update about your visa. it may be there and they will hand it over to you. and if not, just wait two weeks after that and go again. we waited a month before we picked it up.
