Hello VJers

I was looking over the I-134 form and getting ready to prepare for it. They only question I have is the following: Do I have to disclose each and every thing they list on the form, or am I allowed to only show my income which is by far greater than the National Poverty Line. I feel my income should be enough but must I also include all of my other assets?

Hey....

I had the same question when I started poking around and exploring the form. But once I began filling it out for real...I entered my 2013, 2014, 2015 income (per tax returns) and my current salary...the form then bypassed the other details because my income exceeded requirement ... so no assets required to be listed. It didn't even prompt me to supply that info.

The other thing that I questioned regarding the affidavit of support was the need to submit bank statements (in addition to the required tax returns, pay slips, w2's for 3 years, and employment certification)...some people said send the bank statements too just to be safe; others said bank statements aren't required because I'm not self employed. I decided to submit 3 months worth of bank statements anyway but just opening and closing balances and total in and total out, not a detailed listing of every transaction.

You do not need to list assets if your income is comfortably over.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
