I just called the NVC and got invoice number. When I log on it tells me that I must complete for DS- 160. Is this correct? I read somewhere that it was supposed to be form DS -260. But I'm just way to excited right now. Also nothing there tells me to choose an agent or pay any fees. Is this right? Thanks

K-1 applicants fill out the DS-160, and the visa processing fee is $265. The DS-260 is for immigrant visas, such as the CR-1 spousal visa.

Follow your consulate's instructions> http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/iv-new_process-k1_steps.html

My case just got to the NVC yesterday so I am a little confused because I don't know if there are other steps before filing out DS-160

Did you read the instructions/steps for what to do from your consulate's website that I linked above?

The foreign fiance(e) is the one applying for a K-1 visa. The DS-160 is their visa application form. It is filed online.

Thanks! We will complete it today. What do you mean we don't need affidavit? Is that form 134? About how long does it takes from now to medical and interview?

It depends on how they are scheduling.

The 134 was not asked for by me or three other couples with me that day.

I belive DR does not ask for it.

It can be as quick as 15 days if you get medical done right away.
