Donald Trump Jacked Up His Campaign’s Trump Tower Rent Once Somebody Else Was Paying It

Office rent soared in July after Trump’s campaign began accepting donor contributions.

WASHINGTON ― After bragging for a year about how cheaply he was running his campaign, Donald Trump is spending more freely now that other people are contributing ― particularly when the beneficiary is himself.

Trump nearly quintupled the monthly rent his presidential campaign pays for its headquarters at Trump Tower to $169,758 in July, when he was raising funds from donors, compared with March, when he was self-funding his campaign, according to a Huffington Post review of Federal Election Commission filings. The rent jumped even though he was paying fewer staff in July than he did in March.

The Trump campaign paid Trump Tower Commercial LLC $35,458 in March ― the same amount it had been paying since last summer ― and had 197 paid employees and consultants. In July, it paid 172 employees and consultants.

“If I was a donor, I’d want answers,” said a prominent Republican National Committee member who supports Trump, asking for anonymity to speak freely. “If they don’t have any more staff, and they’re paying five times more? That’s the kind of stuff I’d read and try to make an (attack) ad out of it.”

He's ripping off his supporters.:rofl::rofl:

This is all a money making scheme for him. He bragged in the past about how easy it would be for him to make a lot of money in politics. And he's doing just that right now.

As I said before, cash poor. Even his daughter has to accept freebies from Geffen, in order to have a decent vacation.

his campaign is one big scam, this seems like such a small element

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Most of his renters are overseas and couldn't care less. Money laundering .

However his donors are in dire straights.

Now supporters of his presidential bid are saying they are trapped into donating to his campaign even if they want out. News of the payment pitfall comes just after the campaign announced that it had raised roughly $82 million last month, mostly from small digital and mail-in donations.

Anti-Trump group files request for Melania's immigration papers

According to a Mic investigation, there is no option on Trumps website to cancel the monthly contributions or remove your payment information altogether. The only option is to update your credit card information with a new, valid card. There is an option to make a one-time payment, instead of a "monthy recurring donation."

It's The Donald. He's got he best scams. Beautiful scams. Unbelivable scams.

And a lot of people are saying it...

However crooked Hillary has been scamming the US for decades.....

She has embezzled millions of dollars (no need to substantiate) if pressed there always the "I don't know you tell me.... Lots of people have been telling me..."

Operatus modi has been that way right from the start... Make the outrageous statement so it's "out there" in the media and then back track with who knows.. U tell me etc etc

Surely it's not legal to not have an option to stop your donations.... Even if it's a mail in address to a log cabin in Alaska in which you need to provide enormous amounts of information akin to a USCIS application.... where little grandma Edna will get to once she's found her vintage sterling silver plated letter opener.... (It's in the 3rd draw to the left of the pantry)

No laws stating you have to give a method to cancel by the same means you collect donations i.e online cancellation?

Pretty obvious he was going to recoup any money he spent on this year and a half long advertisement... I mean campaign and then some!
