Hello All,

My AOs was filed on 11/12/15. I used an immigration service. I did my biometrics and everything. I received my EAd and advance parole. However, when I check my online status it says they tried to mail something to me in regards to my I485, however it was undeliverable and was sent back to the USCIs. My case is msc which means its at the national service center. I really dont know whay to do or who to contact. Ive been calling the uscis line n doing case inquiries but they say it takes 30 days to respond. The immigration service I paid to help doesnt do much to help. Can someone please advise? Thanks.

Call them again and insist on speaking with a tier 2 officer. Tell them to send it again, it could be an RFE or interview

appointment or interview waiver letter. Perhaps tier 2 can tell you more. You can also make an infopass, again ask for a

tier 2 immigration officer when you get there.

Make sure your name is on the mailbox (inside readily viewable) in big printed letters, some had the same thing happen

and had to do this.

Honestly I didnt because I thought my immigration rep would have stayed on top of it. I checked the online status back in December when it gave the message that they tried to send something to me but it was undeliverable and that they sent it back to the USCIS. However, I called USCIS and changed the address for it to be sent back. They said it woyld take 30 days. I received and appointment letter for biometrics so I assumed it was fine. I received my advanced parole and EAD card in February so I thought I was fine. But when July came around with no interview date, I called my immigration rep and she said its fine. Now August is here and soon to be done I really know something is wrong. I know it doesnt take 10 months to receive the greencard nor get an interview. If my i-485 is denied. Will I have known by now? Thanks for the response.

So what was the date on the last online update ? Was the resend item the Biometrics ? I am confused on if the undeliverable

document was your Biometrics and it was resend or if you just assume it was something else.

Many people adjusting from a K1 don't even have interviews and for some who do it has taken longer than your wait.

We have filed May 2015 (6 months earlier than you) and my husband's AOS has been pending 15 months.

We just received an interview letter for September last week so it definitely can take that long.

You need to be sure if the undeliverable item was the biometrics letter.

Immigration services don't stay on top of things and just mail off the forms for you.

It can take up to two years to get your greencard. The minimum right now is one year.

It can take well over a year to get your interview date and then card... The AVERAGE country wide approval for a green card is 9months... it's all based off your local office some office are backlogged over a year... Have you looked at your local offices processing times to see how back up your local is? Your rep is only there to respond to letter and file paperwork and to answer question they don't have time to look up each individual's receipt numbers or call Uscis on your behave every few weeks.... Think of how many clients they have when the average call back from Uscis is 1-2hours!!! I have a legal rep during the process also and they can only do so much you need to do some of the leg work sometimes... Call Uscis tell them you want to talk to a teir 2... Key questions are when is my case currently at? Has is been transferred from NBC? Or is it at a local office? If so which local office? If it's still at NBC why is it still there? What's the current average approval timeframe? Can I put in a service request? If not when can I do so? And how long will it take to get a responce? Don't just assume if it's at a local office it's at your local office they do transfer them to out of state local office which may not be yours... Once your case is at a local office it's literally just a waiting game that's why it's key to finding out if it's at NBC or transferred to a local office... If it's still at NBC then you need to start asking question why is there why hasn't it been transferred cause your local office can't schedule the interview until it's been transferred there

The fact your a k1 also means you have a 50/50 chance of your interview being waived!! If your 1 of those people then your probably not going to get an approval until over 12month marker... those cases typically not always some gets transferred somewhere else stay at NBC Until approved... I think the average time of interview waived cases at NBC is 18months for GC
