Extreme Delay of Home Country Police Certificate

Greetings to all,

My fiancee is living and working in a different country than her home country. She is at the interview stage of our journey. Our problem is that her home government is being extremely slow in getting her police certificate. She applied for it back in June, it was sent August 9th to the embassy and it could take an additional 2 months for her to receive it.

She has emailed the consulate and they said she could interview but must present the document to the consulate at a later time.

In anyone's opinion, should she go ahead and interview and wait for the document or wait for the document and then interview. My initial thought is to interview first as if approved it could take a certain stress off of her and also that perhaps the initial approval from USCIS would expire before the police certificate would arrive.

Any thoughts, ideas, and opinions are welcome.

Thanks and have a great day!

Harold

If it were me, i would go ahead with the interview. Keep in mind the visa would only be good six months from the date of medical, she must enter the U.S. before that. She may end up having to redo the medical depending on how long it takes the clearance to come.
