Auckland embassy, Advantage of calling NVC?

Just a quick question

As far as I can tell, the new zealand embassy sends out all the medical, police etc forms when they receive the application from NVC,

So is there any point in me ringing up NVC to try and find out my case number earlier, or can I still do a medical before the embassy receives it

Cheers

I'm not sure about the medical for your specific embassy because every embassy has different ways of doing it- most need the NVC case number or an interview date scheduled before you schedule your medical- but then again it's all different.

But YES if you haven't called NVC yet I would! Have they told you they received it yet? You should be calling they aren't good with emails and also they send out the hard copy way after they assign you a case number (some haven't received it at all). Call them! I saw people with noa2 of July 18th getting received yesterday at NVC and case numbers assigned same day or next day. Not everyone gets there in order but it's worth a shot.

I was able to have my medical early, based on having the AKL number. Our case got hung up on AP at NVC, back when they started subjecting some cases to extra scrutiny. My time line looks odd because of it.

Once you get your case number from NVC, you can email them to ask if they would send out packet three. They were pretty quick to get back to me.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thanks I did ring up and got my case number, but it's still at nvc undergoing administrative processing?

But when I emailed the embassy I got this reply

The below mentioned file has not been received at post to date. It usually takes about 2 weeks for the file to arrive, once you have been notified by the NVC. As soon as we receive the file, we will send the applicant the pertinent information and forms through the post.

We will do everything we can to assist your travel to the United States.

I trust this information is of assistance.

Regards,

So I guess that means I can't do anything until they receive it.
