You are a lawful permanent resident and no longer illegal or whatever you were in the past. Just get your application in when it's time so you continue following the requirements.

This has got to be the funniest question yet. First of all even if Trump is elected, he is (as said before) ONLY cracking down on ILLEGAL immigration. Second, the idea that he'd be able to actually implement any type of law or policy before you receive the 10 year green card is very unlikely. I really wouldn't worry

I think if he does get elected he might actually force the Federal Government to follow the law already on the books and just simply ignore the whole thing.

He can't be worse than Obama. After Obama was elected it took my husband a year and a half to get his conditional GC because the amount of immigrants coming in skyrocketed and yet there was no more money allocated to the USCIS to hire people for the caseload. Trump may say some horrible things but I care more about his actions and given his business history he is the type to get things done!

Guess im iver thinking but its not even that he stated he wanted to put a 2 year ban on ALL green cards untill everything was sorted that means all of us here that are still going through it

Just worried thats all last thing ide want is to be seperated from my husband after being here for 2 and a half years and building a life together u know just a scary thought

I was suspicious about that quote, I looked it up and he never stated anything about a ban on all green cards. His own wife is an immigrant. What's your source for that? He is frequently misquoted so if you hear that he said something take it with a grain of salt and do some research

OP: You haven't anything to worry about. Please move on with your life with your spouse, free of such worries. You don't need such inconsequential things that does not affect you, weighing on you. Understand that the words of politicians in this country, no matter how loony they be, is a game they play to try and become elected. It does not reflect reality. You are legally here in this country.

I remember when Obama was running for his first term. VJ members wer so excited because when he was elected, he was going to fix immigration and they would no longer have to wait so long for their NOA2 or interview or greencard. They were looking forward to an instant fix. Sadly the times got even worse for awhile in some categories. I agree that no matter who is elected, nothing changes quickly, if at all.

Well he did shut TSC because he was pestered about it. :P Got to hand him that. Not that anything in this process was really fixed or changed anything. Nothing will change, that's for sure.
