Affidavit of Support

Hello,

We are currently in the process of doing the K1 Fiance visa and our I-129f is sitting with CSC at the moment.

Could someone please tell me what form we need to submit for the Affidavit of Support for the interview? is it the I-864 or the I-134. Im confused as to what % over the poverty line we need to show.

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

the i864 is for the adjustment of status packet after you marry

For K1, you'll need to complete the I-134.

When you come to do your AoS, you'll complete the I-864.

You should follow the same poverty guidelines for both forms, although they're a little more flexible about the I-134 since it's only a short-term agreement until AoS.

Take a look at this PDF to see how much income you should be showing for the size of your family: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf (if it's just the 2 of you, you're looking at about $20k per annum).

I think the poverty guideline is still the same on both i-864 and i-134 (you'll use the latter for the K-1).
