What Happens After NVC Letter?

Hello everyone!

I need your guidance. I just received a letter from the NVC stating that they will now be forwarding our petition to the embassy in Moscow. I'm not sure what to do/expect next because the letter did not specify any further instructions/actions that I should take. Also, I checked the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) and at one point and time it said TRANSFERRING. Now its saying READY. What does that mean?

Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks in advance!

we just went through this. our interview is Aug 5th

stay proactive. instructions aren't clear and it goes very quickly if you are organized

I emailed embassy after only 2 days to confirm receipt of petition

It seemed to only take about 4 days to get there from NVC

I got an email after only about 2 days giving instructions. They are vague (I guess this is packet 3)

It says how to make payment and some links to other things. Like list of docs for interview and the domestic violence warning etc...

how we did it. after instructions were emailed.

we paid the 265$ fee with her Russian bank card (follow the instructions) you will need the receipt number

wait 1 business day

she was already registered on the site to fill out a DS160 and ours was pretty much done. (just waiting)

we finished 160 and entered the receipt number. (follow all instructions)

the site told us to wait to schedule interview.

The next day it let us schedule.

It seemed to only take 1 business day per step.

site gave us a prompt if what the next available appointment was

we were able then to go into the site and schedule our own interview time.

be careful here. we pulled up the Medical Appointment place and she called them to coordinate a time that worked well with interview time,.

we both are flying into Moscow so it had to be close together.

side note... there seemed to be plenty of appointment times

hop[e this helps

it can move very fast

well, ours did. It was there or processed by July 12 and we could have interview on 25th

but we weren't ready to travel yet

I contacted them, by email.. about 2 days later they sent me email

but I sent email as soon as I found out that NVC and sent it

I called NVC and they told me on phone.

You can continue to check that CEAC

but I would just go ahead and email the consulate

What is their email address? Also, when and to whom should i submit my tax information, form i-134 (affidavit of support), bank statement, and employment letter?

My apologies if i'm full of questions. This part of the process is becoming a bit confusing. I appreciate your patience.

I also submitted all of it with the 1st packet and I129

If you are going to interview,, just take it

but if she is going alone then you will need to mail it to her to take to interview
