Hi! It's my first time writing here on this topic. I started my journey 7 years ago and now waiting for my Oath Ceremony. ( last 4 years I spent on this site but in a different thread) At the same time, I know nearly nothing about bringing family members to US. I will definitely do a research, but if someone can guide me please, I will appreciate. What are my chances of bringing my sister to the US? She just turned 17. Do I need a lawyer (both of my GCs and Naturalization papers I did myself) ?? What is a time frame, I have read somewhere it can take up to 7-10 years, wich is ridiculous.

Thank you, I would love to hear your opinion, dear visa journey community.

You do need a lawyer and the guides will show you through.

Nobody knows how long it will be in the future but certainly longer than that, I would assume she will be in her 30's.

hi

worse than that, as others have said, around 13 years currently,

you just file the i130 when you become a USC and forget about the petition. who knows what her life will be in 13 years

Chances of approval with a sibling visa are very very high, assuming she has no criminal or drugs convictions by the time the interview rolls around. But as mentioned, it takes a very long time because the number of visas given out each year is limited, and so there is a waiting list.
