Timeline

My husband had POE at O'Hare in December of 2013. No problems at all, just had to wait for an available customs officer to review the packet (don't open the packet!!!, let them do it) and stamp his passport.

24 July 2013 - Sent I-129F (USPS Certified Mail)

26 July 2013 - Package delivered (according to USPS tracking number)

30 July 2013 - NOA1 notice date

31 July 2013 - Received USCIS e-notiification and receipt number: Package received, transferred to CSC

31 July 2013 - Check cashed

31 July 2013 - "Alien registration number changed" email

2 August 2013 - Received NOA1 hardcopy

4 September 2013 - Received Approval

9 September 2013 - Received NOA2 hardcopy

16 October 2013 - Received by NVC!! Case creation date.

21 October 2013- Status changed to READY for interview

29 October 2013- Packet 3 received

12 November 2013 - Embassy received packet 3 documents

18 November 2013 - Received packet #4

4 December 2013 - INTERVIEW DATE!!! APPROVED!!!

7 December 2013 - POE Chicago

23 December 2013 - Wedding

14 August 2014 - 2-year Green Card Received

6 June 2016 - ROC packet sent to CSC

8 June 2016 - NOA1 received

9 June 2016 - Check cashed

7 July 2016 - Biometrics done!

27 June 2017- REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS APPROVED! 

14 September 2017- Submitted N400 Application Online

27 September 2017-  Biometric Appt (walked in 1 week early)

19 December 2017 - INTERVIEW SCHEDULED, CHICAGO OFFICE

Timeline

Adil had POE September 2015 / very organized even though thousands were coming in

He said the interview was short and easy

He flew in qatar air from Doha and the 14 hour flight was exhausting so he was happy the POE went good

BTW if you put in MOrocco to Nashville we got the best ticket by going from casa to Doha to Chicago / go figure

But Qatar airways was the best / good food / not crowded seating

I did the same flight a few months before him

and this was a one way ticket / i was afraid it would be expensive as not roundtrip

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

My husband would come through Chicago every time he visted. So usually every 2-4 months for a couple of years. He PoE'd through Chicago on his K-1 Visa. No problems.
