Not sure if one was started for July but thought I'd get the ball rolling

We mailed our packet on July 7, delivery confirmed July 8th and just got the text notification today!!! (It's being sent to Nebraska)

Should be getting the 1st NOA by mail in a few days. Good luck to everyone dealing with this lengthy process!

Sent off ours the 7th also. Got our NOA1 on the 12.

Sent I-130 last July 11. Waiting for a text or email. Hoping we get it soon.

i submitted my I-130 on july 1st and received an email notice of receipt on july 8th. this email only confirmed receipt and included a receipt number. it suggested i check the website once i received my official I-797 via mail. im super confused as to why i still have not received anything via snail mail.

NOTE: i submitted my I-130 with the NVC documents as well with hopes of speeding up the process (bad advice). im also worried they are trying to send my documents to my mailing address abroad as opposed to my USA mailing address. i spoke with a customer service rep at USCIS on july 13th who said they will never mail docs to a foreign mailing address.

If you don't have any issues and your case is easy, then filing it yourself is definitely manageable. Especially if you read up on things here and maybe follow a few threads here and there. Reading and re-reading is the key, I believe.

We received our NOA1 on July 18, but our receipt number is coming up invalid when checking status online. Our Service Center is Nebraska. Is anyone else having this problem?

PS - We filed with a Lawyer to relieve the stress of the paperwork since we are on opposite sides of the world at the moment.

It took most of us a while to see our case status online. Just be patient and it will pop up eventually. You not being able to check the status right now is not a bad sign

Some of the early, early I-130 filers in Potomac couldn't access their cases for weeks until it finally worked.

we mailed the documents last july 22 then we received the USCIS acceptance confirmation thru email last july 26 with the receipt number
