Hello guys, I have email my lawyer but I was wondering if I could get some more info. I got a job offer at the UK (I hold dual nationality Italian-Venezuelan) and I have my resident card recently approved. When I was leaving the airport today, there was a a lot of confusion when I was exiting the country, I presented my GC with my venezuelan passport and they wouldn't let me board the plain, I explained further that I hold european citizenship hence I could travel to the UK. My concern is that my GC was not scanned when I left, now I'm concern that my exit was not logged and I will have troubles when I go back to the states. I got a reentry permit approved while I reside abroad. I was wondering if anybody have had similar experiences.

Thanks,

The US has no exit checks. You were dealing with the airline for whether you can board the plane. The airline just cares that you can enter the destination country, so you should primarily show them the documents that allow you to enter the destination country. As a permanent resident you don't need to "log" your entries or exits. If it's ever in doubt about how long you've been outside the country then you can show the stamps on your passports.
