Everything was smooth until the interview day, when the office reviewed all my old employment based GC details, asked me why gave it back in 2005 and then said the petitioner should also be present in the interview. She said she cannot progress anymore until she sees the petitioner. The petitioner(my son) just moved out of state for anew job

My attorney said only the applicant should attend and the interview letter also did not mention about the petitioner being present at the interview.

She said another interview will be scheduled shortly. Any such experiences for any body please?

Strange, I did not know that USCIS wants to interview the petitioner in an IR5 (parent) AOS case. Does not really makes sense.
