How soon after case complete do you get a visa appointment

My PD is Aug 2010 fb2 status, i received case complete letter April 2016. I was told by NVC that im in the visa appointment queue. Can any tell me how long does it usually take to get an interview date. Do i still need to wait until my PD is current?

I- 130 .... sent USCIS August 4, 2010 - Approved at NVC Jan 2011 received approval letter with case number and Id number

Welcome Letter..... Received Feb 23, 2016

Selected agent...Feb 25, 2016

Paid AOS and Visa Application fees.......Feb 26, 2016 

Submitted supporting doc......Mar 20, 2016 ( would have done sooner but had to wait on petitioners tax docs)

Case completed.....April 22, 2016 Received case complete letter April 27,2016

Received Interview Letter... Feb 3, 2017

Medical..... Feb 27,2017

Interview...Mar 20, 2017

Visa Issued....Mar 21, 2017

 POE.............June 4, 2017

SSN............June 12,2017

Green Card: August 2017

Petition for hubby: Oct 2017

i-130....... Approved.Aug 9 2019

NVC ......Wecome letter Nov 4 2019

Your visa cannot be issued before your PD becomes current. Therefore they'll only interview you after your PD becomes current.

Oh wow, according to visa bulletin that wont be until about April of 2017. :(. Thank you for responding.

Where on the visa bulletin it tells you that your pd will be current in April 2017? The mere fact that the Nvc sent you an email to say your case is complete and you we allowed to choose an agent, submit aos and fill out you DS260, that is hint that your PD will be current in about 2 to 3 months time.

I was just speculating i guess. On visa bulletin they are at December 2009 since my PD is Aug 2010 i am assuming if all remains the same it wont be current until April 2017......But hey 2 to 3 months time puts a smile on my face!

no interview date yet.

embassy = Abu Dhabi (UAE)
