Hello everyone,


I am filling the DS-260 online application to get an immigrant visa. There is that field "course of study" and it says that I should indicate whether it is "academic' or "vocational" for high school and whether it is "major" or "concentration" for university degree.

I have bachelor of dental medicine.

My question is that should I write "major" only or major bachelor of dental medicine.

and for high school should I wrie academic only

What is the actual type of degree? For example a is it "bachelor of science" majoring in Dental medicine, or just bachelor of dental medicine? If the second, I'd write it dental medicine for "course of study" even though you'd basically be rewriting those terms in the "degree" bit.

And yes I assume your high school was academic if it was not focused on training you for a trade.
