Anyone has experience with N-565?

Hey,

I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question.

Does anybody have an experience with N-565 (Replacement of citizenship/naturalization)?

How long does it take to actually receive the certificate after approval?

I guess I just want to know your experience of applying for N-565 in general.

Thanks!

I don't have first hand experience, but the cases I've read about suggest that it's a 6-9 month process. That info might be a little out of date, but should give you a rough idea. It might take 4 months instead, but it isn't going to take 4 weeks.

Yeah, I've heard on the estimate wait time, but what about after it is approved?

Did you hear anything on how long it takes to get the certificate after it is approved?

That estimate was for between sending the application and receiving the certificate.

Once it's approved, I had assumed that it would only take a few days, but I could be totally wrong.

I don't remember anyone saying that it takes a long time after approval.

Thank you.

My wife is waiting for her certificate.

It has been approved, and we received the approval letter.

It says that it may take up to 60 days, and it is almost been 60 days.

And I was just curious if others also waited almost 60 days to receive the certificate.

Hello,

I'm wondering if your wife has received her replacement certificate yet? I received my approval in May and was also told 60 business days, but still have not received it. When did you receive your approval letter? I filed my n565 in March.

Hey,

No, she has not received hers just yet.

Coincidentally, her timeline is pretty much same as yours.

She filed in early March, got her approval in May (was about exactly 2 month).

On the approval letter, I think it says 60 days. I do not think it is 60 business days, is it?

Thanks for sharing your timeline. It's not easy to find estimates for how long this will take.

When they mean business days, they almost always specifically say business days.

Right. I know my letter says business days since I've read it dozens of times. Ha. Anyway 60 business days from the date printed on my letter would be July 27th. I really hope to get my certificate soon! I hope they don't wait till the last day to send it.

On what date did you get it approved?

And I do not recognize my wife's letter saying business days. I need to go home and check.
