Hey everyone. I recently received our NOA2 on June 8th and was wondering if anyone else got approved around this time and has their case reached NVC yet?

I know it might be too soon but I see a lot of people and their case gets to NVC within a week. Mine has been 11 days since approval just wondering what it's looking for you guys...

Thanks !

Mine was approved June 06 and I received my NOA2 in the mail on June 10. NVC still hasn't received my petition yet.

This whole bulk mailing thing between USCIS and NVC is ridiculous and absurd. If they'd let me, I'd personally drive my petition from California to New Hampshire in a fraction of the time.

They can mail out an approval letter and it arrives in 4 days from across the country but 6+ weeks for the petition? This shouldn't even be an issue in the first place; these government entities need to get with the times by make everything electronic which would save time and money while greatly improving efficiency.

I completely agree! Tbh it's complete bull! I live in NY and like you said from California to New York I got my approval letter in 5 days including weekends! But this bulk mailing system is absolutely absurd and it was enough to keep waiting with Uscis for RFEs and approvals, now this. I honestly thought it would be there by now....

Not complaining (too much atleast) because I know the wait is a lot less than getting approved and all but finally there is progress and I'm just so ANXIOUS for it to get moving and get to the embassy. This process is super stressful.

I really hope your case and mine gets there this week. I call 2-3 times a day at different times because of the mailing. Hope you get your case and case number soon!

Hey Jorge and Leonel,

Looking at your timeline I don't think you got an NOA2 Approval yet, am I correct? If you want to expedite your case to get an approval- tbh from what I've heard and read (and I've looked into everything a lot) trying to expedite your case to get the approval with the USCIS is like a very small chance they will accept the expedite and also by the time you send in the expedite etc it takes a super long time. And it needs to be some extreme circumstance and you need a bunch of supporting evidence and proof and all that so I haven't seen many expedites to get the approval quickly.

Uscis seems to be working much faster (on the K1s) atleast. I had an RFE and was out the country so I wasn't able to reply super fast but I replied before the deadline- that's why my approval took alittle longer (5 months but that is the estimated processing time anyways) I'm sure you will get approved soon.

If you are asking abou how to expedite your case at NVC- I read it Needs to be a life or death emergency with a legitimate letter and statement from a doctor - with supporting proof and a statement from yourself- even then I don't know how long it takes for them to review the expedite and IF they approve it how fast the process takes from there.

I know I wrote a lot but I wanted to share as much as I know lol! Good luck hope this helped even if it did alittle !

Yes, as long as you meet certain criteria. In the end, it is up to the service center's director to expedite or not.

farzram,

I spoke with a USCIS Tier 2 Officer this afternoon in regards to my approved petition; she said mine was sent out to the NVC 2 days ago.

It has been said that the CSC ships approved petitions in bulk so perhaps yours is in the same box as mine. Try calling and speaking with a Tier 2 to see if they tell you the same.

Wow thanks so much for the info!! I am currently out of the country so my sister calls for me instead- I will ask her to try and call uscis today, if she gets through - great. If not, I am sure it's in bulk with yours our approvals are 2 days apart ? Thanks again I hope we reach NVC this week and good luck!

What number do you call to speak with the t2 rep?

You call the regular USCIS number and you ask the level 1 officer to be transferred to a tier 2 officer. It's not a different number.

Has your case reached NVC yet ? I see your approval was June 2nd but no dates on your timeline for when NVC received it and sent it out to your embassy but you have an interview... How did you get an interview? Just curious thanks :)

I tried to get transferred to a tier 2 but they said I couldn't because they were having a "high call volume" and trying to find if it was shipped isn't a valid enough reason. She told me to try calling again later.

thanks for the info!

regarding the (potential) interview date..when noa2 was approved, we were able to submit ds-160 right away. then we went into the portal to pay fee & schedule interview and it didn't ask for nvc number, so we were able to reserve a time at honduran embassy - received confirmation email and everything. however, we do need nvc case number in order to schedule medical exam, so we might end up having to write embassy to push back interview date. we had set it for over a month out, but it's getting close and nvc didnt have our case as of yesterday.

We just did the DS-160. I am trying to pay the fee at NVC and it asks for our case number and IIN. It didn't for you? Your embassy may be different then Italy in regards to making the appointment as well. Naples does the medical a day prior, and they schedule it for you. They want me to email or fax them a statement of understanding before I can make the appointment.
