Hi All

Back again with the questions :)

My fiancé and I filed on March 03rd and NOA2 on 14th June. Luck willing I will have my interview in the next two months.

I am employed as a contractor (working for the same company for almost 2 years). However my contracts ends at the end of next month because the project I was working on would be completed. When I applied I stated my employer etc but when I have my interview I may not be employed at the time.

Is it better I start looking for another contract or could I be unemployed at the interview? I don't want to leave any new employer in the lurch if I get accepted but I also do not want to jeopardize my visa approvals.

What would you all recommend?

On a side note I have enough savings to not work for several months so being unemployed for a short period will not hurt me financially

It sounds like you are the beneficiary. Your employment status or savings are not relevant. Your fiance needs to fulfill the I-134 and then the I-864 support criteria (sufficient income or assets), but there is no employment or savings requirement for you.

If it were me, I would want to leave my country on good terms with my employer back there, since you might need a reference from them in the future, move back to your country, get a job through them in another country, etc ... So I would do whatever was best by them, in this case, perhaps not starting a new project or asking to be staffed on a short project.
