EAD over 75 days - post here!

Hi! People who have been waiting for EAD approval for 75 days or longer can post their experiences here. I filed on March 22 and my status for the I-765 is still "case was received." I submitted a service request on June 3 but it hasn't helped yet.

Today is day 84 since I first filed. I'm adjusting from F1 (still valid).

Have you been waiting for your EAD approval for over 75 days? What are you doing to expedite the process? Please post here if you did something that helped move the process along for you!

It takes about 3 months on average to get the EAD. No, I'm not yelling, but I probably should.

Also, check my timeline. You'll see evidence that you just have to be patient.

I noticed a lot of March filers got approval within a month of biometrics, sometimes even less, so I wanted to find out if there was anything I could do from my end. I won't ask again!

Sorry I yelled, oceana, but you'll find that if you have unrealistic expectation that you only end up disappointed. EAD takes 90 days and you can't do a thing until after the 90 days are up. Sometimes files go through faster but you can't expect it. March filers just got lucky is all. Good luck.

LMAO @ Harpa yelling.

OP,

EAD/AP does take 90 days and it is advised not to start calling until after that time has allotted. When I was monitoring the processing times for EAD it was trending around 70 days. We got ours in 72 days. However, those trends are NOT absolute. And you should never expect your case to be like others.

Be a little more patient and good luck.

I'm fairly new here and didn't realize you could file a service request at 75 days. Most everything I had been reading was only after 90 days. On day 91 (May 23) I called USCIS. They checked and it was delayed due to an RFIE. My phone call triggered that and they sent me the RFIE by the end of the week. I got it in on June 8, and my husband received his EAD on June 20. It took 113 days. If I hadn't called, it might have taken longer. It doesn't hurt to call. Everytime I've called, progress has been made on the case!

Good luck!

My case was received May 16th 2016. 101 days later I'm still waiting. I've put in a service request, contacted ombudsman and contacted my senator. Now its time to wait I guess. It took 348 days for me to get my NOA2 for my K1 so yet another delay from USCIS is just so frustrating!
