Who can become a sponsor?

Hi. I have filed petitions for both my son and husband. Now I'm preparing the I-864 forms. Since I have not been residing in the US for the past 4 years, I do not qualify for a sponsor. Anyway, I found a friend of mine who satisfies the financial guidelines but there is something that is bothering me. He has already been a sponsor to a girl that is already in the US. Does it mean he cannot become a sponsor to my husband and my son?

As long as he makes enough money for all of them (including the lady he sponsored previously), he can sponsor as many people as he wants.

regardless if you qualify or not, you will fill out an i864 as sponsor and petitioner, your friend will fill out another i864 as your joint sponsor

as said, as long as he makes enough to cover everyone, there is no limit on how many he can sponsor or be a joint sponsor to

Yep, 10 years of full time work, the beneficiary becomes a citizen, or they surrender the greencard and leave the USA permanently (or die).

No, it doesn't matter where the sponsor lives. All that matters is that he lives in the USA. So the sponsor can live in Miami and the immigrant in Seattle, for example.
