hi

have you met in the last 2 years?

there is no way that you can come with her, if you decide to go through the k1 route, it will take 6 or more months to come, once you enter you have 90 days to get married. once your married you will file for adjustment of status

or if you marry in your country, you will go through spousal visa that will take around a year

Here is the guides to help you out...Read and understand them, if you have questions and need answers, try to search them first right here by using advance search, if you can't find answers, you can ask post a question. I really had to do the same, read and read until I understood how the process works...

Is this her first visit , Nigeria is suspecious of people that meet and marry in a single short visit. You marry in the marriage regitry like you would marry any other. Make sure to properly post the marriage bonds. Shortcuts through "tips" will lead to headaches later.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You two have to decide if you want to file as a engaged couple or get marred and file. Alot of prep needed. She doesn't need to bring anything to Nigeria. She isn't filing there she files and send petition package to address in US.* And no you can't just go back with her.

You can always apply for a visitor visa showing very strong ties to Nigeria and making the CI believe you have every reason to return after your visit is up.

You both need to do your research and read and google i your friend.

That depends on what you want. The K1 is faster, about 6 months, but you cannot work or travel for a while after entry to the USA, and it is more expensive. The CR-1 is cheaper, but it takes about a year to get.

How often have you met, and for how long? The spousal visa generally has a better chance of success in your country, but you do NOT want to get married on the first meeting, that is a big red flag.

Better easier as in what You want approval and success. Sometimes the fastest route isn't always the best. That's why I said you two need to do your research do your research. Meet, get to know each other. Address your Red Flags if you have any. Then decide which you want to do.

With a K1 you can't work immediately when arriving in US. For some that's okay for others no go.

If denied a K1 your petition will more than likely expire and you have no recourse a IR1/CR1 you can fight it appeal it. Like I said do your research.

No one can tell you which is best or easier. Lagos really isn't that rough of a embassy if you have all your ducks in a row, prove a true bonafide relationship with visits and living together.

Hi

Thanks for your help and answers towards my question, but please the K1 Visa have some basic requirements which the couples must have meet or know each other at least 2 years "TWO YEARS" in my own case we have not met this is our first meeting, honestly I'm confuse right now, since we have not met is there any need filing up for K1 Visa? Is there any other means of this to be achieved? I'm not in rush of any thing. Advice me on what to do please.

You must meet before filing either visa. For the K1, you need to have met in person within the last 2 years. You do not need to have known eachother for 2 years, or met 2 years ago in person. One meeting for a day the day before your USC fiancee files is enouhgh to meet the requirements.

Of course, that does not mean it is enough to get approved....

The K-1 requirement is that you have met WITHIN the last two years.

There is no requirement that you know each other for at least two years.
